Preparation standards, profile, dust, contamination and timing all affect the substrate presented to the primer.
Compatibility is verified, not assumed
The primer must be recognised within the approved intumescent system. Unknown existing coatings may require investigation, testing or removal.
Interfaces should be accepted before coating begins
Clear agreement on substrate and primer suitability gives the coating team a dependable starting point for the specified fire-protection system.
